The perfect match for my renaissance bodice, this belt is made of 4 panels, each of which comes to two scalloped points from which fringe hangs. Made with metallic sari brocade on one side, and cotton duck on the other. For each one you buy, your are for all practical purposes getting two - they are reversible! Black and cream sari brocade are available in all colors of cotton duck, and all other colors are available in both black and natural cotton duck. If you would like a color combination other than this, it is available for a small fee. See below.
Cotton Duck is very stiff and durable, and I bone all the openings around the belt. Laces are polyester, with bound ends, available in red, black, and tan. Comes with heavy duty gold or black grommets.
Fringe is available in 3 lengths - 14", 22", and 30". On me (I am 5'6"), the 14" fringe is above knee length, the 22" fringe is upper calf length, and the 30" fringe is just above ankle length. The fringe in the pics of the black and gold/red costume is 30". Note - my learning experience on this fringe is that 30 inches is not a good length for outdoor, windy situations - can you say tangle?
All the lacing on these makes them highly adjustible, so the only measurement you need to determine whether these will fit is your abdomen, measured at the point on your hips where you wear your waistband of pants and skirts for bellydance. For more information on sizing, click here.
If you have special requests for colors for your fringe (ex., no metallic gold) be sure to note them in "special instructions" when you check out. Otherwise, I will use colors to match both the underside and the top side of your belt.
