Every time I wear my chemise set with my bodice, I can't decide whether I feel more like a sexy wench or a princess! The design somehow combines elements of both, the dreamy flowy, and the sexy laced look. Sleeves could technically be worn alone, but both chemise and sleeves are intended to be worn with my renaissance bodice and armlets, as shown in the pictures.
Fabric used to construct these is lightweight, 100% cotton broadcloth for comfort, and out-of-doors durability. Click here for available colors.
Sleeves are extra long, so you have plenty of fabric to puff above your armlets, and the same thing applies to the chemise. It can be worn without a belt, over a skirt, for a nearly covered tummy and a very graceful more true-renaissance look, or it can be pulled toward the back and tucked under the belt as shown.
It also makes great maternity renaissance wear, as you can see in the picture to the right. I was nearly 7 months pregnant at the time of taking that picture, and was wearing the chemise and sleeves in lilac. I overlapped the chemise slightly in the front so it would stay closed.
